DV5-1251nr.
My laptop does not keep the charge if i keep it connected to battery and shut it down after a 100% charge. If i disconnect the battery after I charge it keeps the charge but only for a day or two, beyond that the battery has no charge.
Why? It uses a 90W adapter for charging.
Can somebody point out the solution?.
HP care on my laptop says the battery failed, get a replacement - if i run the test @35% or less charge and it says battery is good if the charge is above that.
I dont know what to make of it.
Thanks

It could be a number of things.
Try turning your notebook off, removing the battery, and running it just on the ac adapter. Turn on the computer, go to the device manager, under batteries, uninstall Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control method battery.
Then but the battery in the notebook, and right click on battery and select scan for changes.
