my bday is dec 7 and i just got an hp notebook for $1200. the orig price was 1400. its 17 inches, core2 duo 2.0 ghz, 500 gigdrive, 4 gig ram, and nvid 9600, and other stuff. this notebook is for college im a senior right now in highschool. my question is should i keep this 1 for 4 years in college, or return this 1 and wait for da summer for the pre-schooling season for new updates for computers like a new processer or suttin like that, and buy it then?

That totaly depends on your use for the notebook. If you are an "average" user, as in you surf the web, look at pics, chat, watch movies, type documents, ect....then the notebook you have should be perfectly fine for 3-4 years. If you are a "power user" who likes to be on the leading edge, wait and buy before the next school year. All the fancy new models will be out. Especialy for notebooks which have a large market in college kids. I will warn you though, chasing the leading edge is a never-ending struggle, no matter when you buy you will always find yourself saying "If I wait just a few more months this model will be cheaper or somthing better will be out" so don't get caught in that trap, you have to "settle" eventualy.
