Pavilion DV7: Just want NORMAL Windows Function Keys

I have a Pavilion DV7 lap top. I know how to use the function keys, but would really like to be able to operate the computer like any normal Windows machine and only use ONE, (1) key to get the functionality of the F-Keys.

Is there a way to "turn off" the extra functionality that HP has installed, soI only have to press the one key (NOT 'FN' and the F Key) to get normal Windows functionality??

Thanks!

Re: Pavilion DV7: Just want NORMAL Windows Function Keys

You Can disable that functionality by disabling "Action Keys Mode" in the BIOS...

Here is the document, that will help you with it... http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02035108&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&jumpid=reg_R1002_US
