I've the same problem with my brand new Laptop. my integrated  HP truevision HD webcam is not recognized by either I've the same problem. my integrated  HP truevision HD webcam is not recognized by either You cam software or even Skype or any other program.

I already used HP assistant to update whatever need to be updated but still I face the same problem,. please help !!

My Laptop is HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook 

Product number : LS243EA#ABV

Serial number : {Removed for privacy}

operating system is windows 7 home premium 64 bit

Fixed this on my wifes laptop by uninstalling you cam and then downloading it again from the cyberlink website.

Or try to set everything back to default. My wifes was fine until she played with the settings.

Or try system restore to restore it to when it was working.

to turn the TouchPad light back on, you need to press the little key that says "fn" and spacebar at the same time

follow the instrucitons for setting the auto exposure in this thread, yes it worked for me too

Hi, same problem here. Nothing helped (un/installation software/driver). I was going to open ticket for HP, but before I tried one additional option.

GO TO ADVANCE SETTINGS OF VIDEO -> Camera Control tab -> Check box next to "exposure" line (auto)
