It is specific to the hardware you customized on purchase. What model are you inquiring on? 1000,1100,1200,1300 or 2000 series? To better answer your question take the p/n number off the bottom of the notebook and put it in the hp search bar on hp.com. There you should find a list of drivers for all the hardware you can pick upon build.
To give you peace of mind hp will house the drivers for the original factory OS on their website for quite some time. They will also best-effort support hardware drivers for other operating systems but the list can be limited
I currently work on behalf of HP for numerous support departments. The opinions expressed above are the personal opinions of myself, not of HP. There is no guarantee that the opinions expressed are 100% correct.

Can anyone locate the drivers and downloads page for the Pavilion dv6t quad edition? I just bought this a week ago and I'm kinda worried that if a driver or 2 goes awry I don't even have an online site to download the original from. I'm not even 100% sure what NIC, wifi, or sound this thing is using.
Type the Product Number (P/N) from the service tag beneath your notebook into the HP search field.
You could also use this link to download drivers for the dv6t-2000 Quad Edition.

Thanks to both of you. I haven't bothered with the P/N on the bottom, and I don't have it handy right now.
My concern was that the notebook didn't really fall into a "CTO 1000, 1100, 2000...." catagory. I don't recall it being labeled as any of those. But I'll look again.
It's the new i7-720QM processor...

CTO means custom-to-order and it won't be listed as such on the notebook...it'll just be generic like dv6t-2000. (which is what yours is)
