Hello,
My Pavilion dv7-6b71nr notebook and Officejet Pro 8500 printer work fine together EXCEPT when the notebook is awakened after being in sleep mode. It gives an USB error that the device is not recognized and error code 64.
I have 4 other devices plugged into USB ports including an external hard drive, keyboard, mouse and the USB ports located on the HP w2408h monitor, all of which work perfectly.
Unplugging the USB cable to the printer and plugging it back in solves the dilemma until the next time the notebook "sleeps". I have downloaded and installed the most current drivers for the printer AND the notebook.
Any ideas??
Thanks.
