Pavilion dv7 won't boot from CD/DVD

Hi,

I just bought a Pavilion dv7 today. I am a linux user, but when I tried to install linux on the new laptop, I just found that I don't know how to make it boot from CD/DVD. The splash screen appeared after pressing the power button just says "press ESC blablabla", and when I pressed it, I just came to a configure program for windows, but not the BIOS.

Help!

wecing.

However, I got it solved simply by pressing F10 before the HP logo appears.

Pressing it during the logo on the screen seems never works, which is really wierd.

You can also use F9 to get the boot device menu if you do not want to make a permanent change in the bios, F9 will allow a one time change of the boot device.
