Hi I have a ProBook 4710s, sometimes, not all the times when I shut down it the power led (just above AC port) is blinking. When I remove the battery the blinking stops. I had this problem from the start but didn't give it a proper attention because I thought it was some kind of software problem (my outlook couldn’t be properly closed on shutdown I needed to ‘end process’ it). Now when I moved from win XP to win 7 the blinking persist (outlook shuts down properly now). Is there a some kind of info for this strange behavior? Thanks in advance for any help and my apologies for bad language.

Hello cagi, I have similar problem. The power led and button of my ProBook 4520s is blinking at the end of the shutdown process. My operating system is Linux (Debian Squeeze distro), so maybe it is some ACPI trouble, but I am not sure. I can not hibernate or sleep (before blinking these are worked) my machine because this failure. I did not find any other misbehavior. Any idea?

What color is the LED light?
It is suppose to be amber when under 90% charged, white when it is 90-99% charged, and off when it is fully charged or the a/c adapter is not plugged in.

Well, no idea what could cause the problem @kaliczp, my button (power on/off) doesn't blinks like power LED does, and it blinks amber (orange). Still no idea why!?

On/off button led blinks always in white. Power led blinks in white and twice higher frequency as the on/off button. In the case of charging the power led is blinking in amber. These LEDs blinks only during shutdown (about one minute period) when the operating system is shutdown.
Except this blinking at shutdown the system is normal. Maybe the cooling fan is not working so often then before.
