Does the computer (3105m Laptop w/ W7 Home Premium) need to be powered off before plugging in or unplugging ac power?  Have looked through the info provided with computer but can't find the answer.

Re: Power

Hello Gwciem:

No would be my answer. My HP DVD7 6135dx I just connect at any time. While on or off when connected to power the screen will brighten up. Your battery power is always running the computer all time you are doing is increasing electrical supply through it. If you remove the battery pack from the lap top and just plug in the electrical cord your laptop will not work.

Hi,

Where you get that information ? I'm running my laptops (2 of them)  in front of me now without batteries, using A/C direct. Running laptop w/o PSU you need a stable power source and using UPS is a must.

Regards,

Re: Power

That is what I'm saying where "FRRW" said that the laptop will not work without battery and with AC adapter only.

I'm disagree on this and agree with you :smileyhappy:
