Presario CQ40-340TU card reader not working for SD/MMC/XD cards

I have a Presario CQ40-340TU notebook running in Windows 7. I cant seem to recall if this ever worked, the card reader can't seem to detect SD/MMC or XD cards. But if i put in any Memory Stick/Pro cards it detects it. I have tried the drivers found in the support section and nothing works. In the device drivers here are the installed devices:

 

JMB38X MS Host Controller

JMB38X SD Host Controller

JMB38X SD/MMC Host Controller

JMB38X xD Host Controller

 

Hope someone can provide a solutions for this?

Hi,

Uninstall current drivers for card reader.

 

Resource:
Uninstalling Software in Windows 7

Uninstall or change a program in Windows 7

 

Download and install latest from here.
