Quickplay Buttons Just Stopped Working

my quick play buttons also stopped working yesterday .... everything was working just fine but today when i turn my laptop on my mute/unmute and wifi on/off touch buttons were not glowing as if there was no button there , the media buttons are glowing but they are not responding ....please somebody help i've tried every thing

updated my software

tried unplugging power cord fix but nothing happened 

i even restrored to earlier date but no change

some one please help my head is paining now

my quick launch buttons suddenly stopped working. i have a dv9000 with win 7 home premium 64bit. the laptop came with vista home premium 32bit originally. the buttons worked fine for three months then finally stopped. all the dvd function lights are on. the buttons don't even beep anymore. the mute button is orange and the volume buttons aren't lit up at all. i've tried removing the battery and discharging the electricity. i've download qlb versions one after another. my trouble shooter says not compatible. what's going on?

I have a similar problem, but my lights are all working, just not responding at all.  I cannot find anything for a fix, can you help?
