Hello,
I want to know about free Registry cleaner softwares. Are they reliable? or they do more evil than good! Is it possible to clean registry errors using any default windows process?

Hi,
Well, very hard to get anything REALLY free. Many users rate CCleaner very high, you can find it in the following list:

Recently I have installed a software named Auslogics Disc Defrag(yes, I had used windows Disc Defragmenter but it is very slow!). It showed me that there are 85 registry errors in my PC! I am not sure weather to believe it or not hence I need a reliable registry cleaner. It would be nice if I can check and fix registry errors using any windows process (even if it is slow ).
Also, I am now using Windows Disc Defragmenter again!

Could you add to the next reply screenshot which will show me the information about those 85 registry errors?
I am quite sure that you installed Auslogics Disc Defrag + something else.
This application does not normally have such option.
I would recommend you to not use any registry cleaner.

@Matt_Lo
Hi,
Could you edit your post and add the information how to make a restore point, how to backup the registry and how to use both in case of problems?

Hello,
Actually, It doesn't show the details of those registry errors rather when you click on detail it takes you to Auslogics website and ask you to buy a software to fix this.
I am no longer using this and not sure weather there are really any errors hence I want to know about any reliable way to check and fix such errors.
Thank You...

This is just an advertisement of their product and it does not show information about the real issues.
No need to worry about it.

Hello,
Thank you for your attention. Finally, is there any way I can check and fix registry errors using windows itself or should the registry be kept untouched?
regards...
