I have bought a few laptop and desktops from HP over the years but never had to return any of them until my recent order. I recenlty placed an order on the notebook but i found a better hp notebook at bestbuy so i called and canceled the order (only after 15 hours of placing the order) but HP CS rep wouldn't let me to cancel. She told me to just let it shipped and return it once i receive the notebook. HP will pay for the returning shipping charge and give me a FULL REFUND; meaning they won't give me the refund minus shipping charge. I did ask her to confirm what she told me that i will receive my full refund for my order and HP will send me a returning shipping label at their cost. If this is true what she told me, then HP has one of the best customer service out there.
my question to anyone who has bought and returned stuff from HP is is it true on what the CS rep told me? by the way, i receive free shipping on my order if that makes any difference. may i ask for your take on this please.
Thank you all for your time and happy thanksgiving to all!

See the following from the HP Shopping 'Returns & exchanges' page on their policy for returns/exchanges:
Return & exchange policy
We encourage you to try out your products right away so that if there is a problem, you can return them before the returns deadline. We accept returns and exchanges for up to 21 days after delivery, except on opened boxed software, Designjet Z2100 series Printers, HP Color LaserJet CP6015dn Printer, and gift cards (except where required by law). After the 21-day period, you can get support for any product issues from HP Customer Care.
Credit for returns and exchanges is issued once we confirm receipt of the merchandise. Please be aware that your financial institution may take 5-to-7 business days to process your credit and have it reflect in your account.
Tax (if applicable) is refunded with returns.
Original shipping and handling charges aren't refunded.
When you return items from a group of items purchased, the remaining amount spent may no longer be eligible for any discount you may have received (e.g., for gifts with purchase, free gifts, buying in quantity). If this is the case, the discount is subtracted from the price you paid for the returned item. To receive a complete refund, all items from the original purchase must be returned.
