My new HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook has a very large HDD, is it recommended that I create a partition to keep data separate from the operating system?, or is ok to use the documents etc. folders set up on the C: partition.
Thank you

Hi,
I strongly recommend to keep data files in a separate logical or even physical partition (second HDD). That will save us a lot of times to recover data when we have to rebuild (or reset to factory settings) the machine.
Your dv7 can fit a second HDD
