The quality of Your Notebook PC's

Dear Sirs

 

I purchased a notebook PC from the Army Air Force Exchange Service over in Iraq back on March 13, 2009 and paid $949.00 for the the product! I have the receipt for it! Now after all these years your product decides to crap out on me and I am told by HP tech support that I will have to pay $330.00 to get it fixed! What ever happened to you people designing a product that will not fail. I SPENT $949.00 FOR YOUR LOUSY EQUIPMENT AND FEEL AS THOUGH I WAS RIPPED OFF FOR JUNK THAT DECIDES TO CRAP OUT AFTER YOUR ONE YEAR WARRANTY! i demand something for this otherwise i am throwing your junk out and filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau against you and the Army Air Force Exchange service for ripping servicemembers off!

You bought it over 3 years ago, so in order for it to be repaired you would have needed to purchase an extended warranty. Unfortunately, consumer electronics do fail for many reasons..so there's not much that can be done.

This is a peer to peer support forum and not a venue to contact HP directly ,though some HP employees  help out here too in a non-official status.

The best we can do is offer support in helping with problems that can be owner managed,such as replacing a failed hard drive,upgrading memory,etc.

Do you complain about everything you purchase that breaks when it is 2 YEARS out of warranty, or just computers?
