Re: Touch pad disable

You should be able to disable it in Control Panel\Mice\Hardware, select it from the list, choose disable and reboot to have the changes take effect.

    Re: Touch pad disable

    usually there is a button above the touchpad that you can press to disable the touchpad, on newer notebooks look for a hole at the upper left part of the touchpad and double tap on it, this will disable the touchpad, you would know if the touchpad is disabled if you see an orange light there on that small hole, if you want to enable it just double tap on that hole till the orange light is gone.

    @turbineboy

    Hi,

    Download and install:

    Synaptics TouchPad Driver here

    Note:

    If you will be asked to reboot system then do it.

    Go to:

    Control Panel -> Mouse

    and click ' Device Settings ' tab. Select from the list ' Synaptics TouchPad ' and little lower click ' Switch off ' button.

    Re: Touch pad disable

    Hi... I would just like to ask what possible reasons that my 'TouchPad Disable Zone' not working? I have my new HP Mini 210 laptop. On the first time I used it, it functioned properly when i tap it 2x. But it doesn't work now.

    Hope you know why... Is it damaged or defective already? I'm so confused about it.

    Thanks a lot! :smileyhappy:

    @angeliqueC8

    Hi,

    Perhaps Windows Update downloaded newer driver for touchpad and disable this option for you.

    Try to roll back driver for it. How to do this? Go to:

    Control Panel -> Device Manager -> Mice and other pointing devices

    and find touchpad there. Click with right button of your mouse on it and choose properties. Then go to ' Driver ' tab and select ' Roll Back Driver ' .
