Touchpad Issues

Hi all, I got the G62-223CA series notebook for my daughter and fear her spilling a wee bit of milk over the keyboard has buggered something. What happens is 3 of the keys do not function properly 99% of the time, the other 1% of the time they work fine until you shut the computer down and restart. The "L" key does not work at all, when you press the "P" key the "my computer" screen comes on, when you press the "U" key the "easy access" screen comes up.

Even when you use the easy access on screen keyboard the 3 keys do not work, so I don't think it is the touchpad, I have pulled the keys off and cleaned, it all looks fine.

I cannot re- download the driver for the touchpad because I need to type in the model and the friggin' "G" key does not work!!

Oh, and another issue is that to turn the computer on I have to hit the button twice.

Any help would be gratly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Use Windows 7 On-Screen Keyboard to write this letter for which key do not work.

Resource:

Type without using the keyboard (On-Screen Keyboard)

Re: Touchpad Issues

Try a Microsoft system Restore, pick a date before this problem started.
