USB docking station not detecting on HP Folio 13 -2000

I am trying to get a USB docking station installed on a HP Folio 13 - 2000. When I plug the usb cord into the Folio it does not detect. It detects on every other computer I plug it into. I have even tried installing it on a different Folio to check if it was bad USB ports. I tried different USB devices and they detect just fine. Please help I have been working on this for a long time.

I have the same problem.

New docking station, new Folio 13, fresh installations and nothing...

Any ideas?

Re: USB docking station not detecting on HP Folio 13 -2000

OK, Solved the issue.

On windows 7 one must not install the software that arrives with the docking station.

I enabled download of drivers from windows update.

Uninstall any driver related to displaylink.

restart

reconnect the usb port and let it fetch the latest driver from windows update.

Cheers,

Re: USB docking station not detecting on HP Folio 13 -2000

Completely not accurate to my issue. The software was not installed. I worked with HP and they determined that the dock was bad and sent a new one and it installed just fine.
