Alright so I bought an HP Dv7-6135dx on 6/28/2011 and the warranty expires on 8/1/2012. Now the left front speaker vent on the plastic silver part of the case has a broken slot I guess. It has not broken off completely but the plastic is broken. Is there a way that the warranty will cover a replacement fix?
Also, I have been having driver failure issues with certain programs and games is there a way to replace the 2011 model for a 2012 model under warranty?

I don't work for HP, but in my experience they may or may not repair it under warranty, basically you file a warranty claim and ship it to a HP repair center, they will make a determination of the damage is covered by warranty or not and notify you before repairing it.
If you send it in for repairs, Back Up Your Data and files, they may get erased by the tech working on it, so don't take any chances, Back UP.
No you cannot get a newer laptop under warranty, they will fix yours.
