I bought a compaq pressario in august, but i didnt buy it direct, i bought it off a website dabs.com.
Recently the hard drive has failed (it has over 1300 bad sectors) afaik this means that it will have to be replaced. Unfortunatly the website i bought it from are being a pain in the arse and not answering the phone.
Does the one year warrenty that hp say they give apply to me in this case? I had a look on the warrenty checker and it said that the laptop had been bought in january before, is it possible to dispute this and tell them when i bought it? I should still have the invoice![]()
thanks,
henry

Yes, In case you have the Proof of Purchase with you, You can call up the support lines and provide them with the POP. They can update the records, and if your warranty holds good, you are eligible for In Warranty support Options.
Make it easier for other people to find solutions, by marking my answer “Accept as Solution” if it solves your problem.
