Windows 7 Serial number

Hi,

i don't know if i am in the correct place but the sticker on the bottom of my laptop has faded and cannot read the license number and if i need to re-install windows i cannot get the serial number for my windows.

how can i get another sticker?

Hi:

You won't be able to get another COA sticker. If you have a set of recovery disks you shouldn't need the product key.  If you haven't made or purchased a recovery disk set, I recommend you do so at your earliest convenience.

the other problem i have is that when i try making recovery disc it says that it has failed try using another brand of discs which i have done. do you think a 12gb flash drive would work?

It might if the USB flash drive is made bootable.

As I mentione above, another alternative for you is to order a set of recovery disks from HP for around $16.00.
