auto fix for fixing problems with files and folders is not working. What can I do?


I have a HP Pavilion g7-1070us Notebook PC using Windows 7
 
My autofix for problems with files and folders shows as not working.  So, whenever I try to file any wordpad folder I am told the file (which is an old file I have deleted because of having this problem) doesn't exist or is on a different hard drive. The file was showing up and I deleted it, renamed it, restarted computer, shut down computer, everything I can think of.  My autofix for having problems with fixing files and folder problems is not working.  How can I get the autofix program working to correct my problem? I can't file ANY notepad items.  I am on a fairly new HP pavilion g7-1070us notebook pc.  I REALLY  need this to work as I use wordpad folders constantly.
