- I just purchased a Logitech wireless mouse, inserted the battery in the mouse properly, plugged in the wireless usb device and the mouse doesn't work. Do I have to disable the pointer pad?

I had the same problem-kept doing searches for pad when mouse was where I found what I needed.
Intuitively why would I search for what I didn't yet have?
My laptop is a G72 here is what I did:
Click on Start, type mouse in the search box, click on change mouse settings, then click on device settings, then put a checkmark in the box next to disable internal pointing device when external usb pointing device is attached. Can't remember now whether I clicked on OK or Apply.
(When I remove the usb thingy the touchpad is functional again and it switches instantly to the mouse when I insert the usb thingy.)
ps when the time comes to hook up your laptop to your tv set you will want to search for the word projector ROFLMAO
