Hi
I just upgraded my pavilion dv2700 laptop to win 7 and i noticed it is hotter than usual. Unfortunately I didn't take temperature readings when i was using vista maybe you can help me with this and give me temperature your laptops has under vista ?
Mine under win7 are: Wistron 65 C, Intel core duo 60 C, HD Hitchi 58 C, Geforce 8400GS 76 C.
Are this temperatures ok or shall i roll back to vista?
Many thanks

Hey dsx,
Good to see you monitoring your temps. The temps you stated seem to be in the normal range. My Envy runs in the 120°F which is about 49°C. I wouldnt be to worried about you temp until you see ~100°C. Make sure all yoru vents are clean of lint or debris. I like to blast mine out with my air compressor every month or so (when I remember
) just to keep them clean.
If you dont have it yet, download CoreTemp which is freeware. It will allow you to setup temperature limits which will alarm you or automatically shut down the PC when it reaches it maximum temperature before it could actually damage the CPU. It also docks to the task bar which shows you the current temperature and color codes it.
Hope this helps,
Sean
