desktop gadgets

I just got a new laptop and I am having trouble getting a gadget. On my last laptop which had windows home vista I had a gadget to monitor my stocks and mutual funds. On this new laptop which has windows 7 I can't seem to find the same desktop gadget, I've looked on line and can't seem to find it..... help
