I have the dm4t-3000 notebook which i ordered from hp website and everything on it works perfectly fine BESIDES the backlit keyboard. It has the button to press that is suppose to turn it on but HP did a great job at ripping me off and giving me a faulty backlit keyboard.

Hi there, the dm4t-3000 units have been available with an optional backlit keyboard since DEC of 2011.
If you go to our CTO site make sure you choose the backlit keyboard as it is optional
