I'm trying to change the boot order on my HP Pavillion G6 Notebook PC. It obviously doesn't boot from the CD first, so I tried to change it in the BIOS. Unfortunately, the set up utility won't start when I hit "esc" at the point where the screen says to hit "esc".

HP notebooks use F10 to enter the bios setup.
ESC is supposed to show the one time boot menu.

Hi,
Press F9 key during startup. This will allow you to choose from which device you want to boot.

I have a similar problem. Esc takes me to the startup menu, but F9 does not display the boot order menu. F10 does take me to the setup menu. F2 does not start the diagnostics. In fact, esc and F11 are the only things that do work.
I have reinstalled the BIOS, installed other UEFI updates, done a hard reset--nothing has worked one tiny bit. Any suggestions?
