dvd drive doesnt read any media, please help.

everytime i put in any media, the disks starts to spin then it slows down. i click on the cd/dvd drive icon on computer (my computer), and it says to insert a cd/dvd when i already have inserted a cd, i inserted a empty writeable cd, and i have tested this with other media like dvd films and audio cd's, it still doesnt work. so i was looking through the hp forums when someones says use this application called fixit it can detect any problem, so i used it and it says that media in cd/dvd is not readable.

Please Help,

and i do still have warranty on this, so should i call customer service?

Hmm.. Looks like your Optical Drive is faulty. Call up Customer Service, and they should give you a resolution.--
