I have installed windows 7 on my new Hp 2000 2d02 note book pc. while installing office 2007 prof. I got error message-ERROR 1935 AN ERROR OCCURRED DURING INSTALLATION OF ASSEMBLY COMPONENT." tried to use hot fix for

windows (KB947821) ,but it did not help. same thing while installing office 2010,

confirmed that win 7 is installed correctly. Not tried any other solution like registry error etc. Pl suggest how to go about

this. Or is it worth while tring office 2003?? (going back in time !!)

I have tried many steps suggested earlier and spent quite a few hrs. Finally I resorted to "wise registry cleaner" and got the registry cleaned up. Rebooted and stareted installing MS 2007 again. And it got installed without any hitch. I am satisfied with the suggestion andhappy that I did not have to reinstall Windows 7.

Hi

I have already tried step 1,system update readyness tool (KB947821) ,and got same error with a text

(837BF1EB-D770-94EB-A01F-C8B3B9A1E18E) HResult :0x80070002.))

Now I have  tried step 2--to download and install .net 4.5 framework (as I could not find the ,net in installed program files. And tried to install office 2007 ,but it gave the same error.

The only last option I have not tried is to remove and reinstall .net framework. (I hope .net 4.5 is ok for

windows 7). Pl advise if there is anything more to be tried now. Thanks

I am still having error 1935 after trying -

1-system update tool installed and run

2-I noticed absence of .net 4 ,so downloaded and installed the same. reboot and tried to install

ms office 2007 again to find the same error.

3-Also tried .net 4.5 ,but that did not help.

someone has asked me to go to windows XP to install office ,or install office 2003...but I don't want to do

any such installation.

Pl. suggest if there is any easy way out.
