fan inoperative

I have a G42 notebook model 475DX and i had sent it in for fan problems two months ago before the warranty was up they were suppose to fix it? but yet not two months later the fan quit working and on start up it says error code 90B fan inoperative and of course the warranty is up now. any one have suggestions besides pulling my glock out and blasting this piece of junk? I'm about on the borderline of ripping HP on the internet i never had this problem with my toshiba i used for 5 years i should have bought  a toshiba i guess

Hi,

 

FanFan not operating correctly90BThe system fan may be malfunctioning.

For information on troubleshooting heat-related issues, see Fan Runs Constantly, the PC Operates Slower than Expected and Generates Heat .

It is also recommended that you perform a hard reset as that can sometimes restore the system fan to working order. See Use Hard Reset to Resolve Hardware and Software Issues for details.

If the system fan continues to malfunction, contact HP support.
