forgot windows login password

my laptop is hpdv6 with windows 7 home premium 64 bit.unfortunately i am not using finger print login.can anyone suggest a method to overcome this problem.i have system repair discs and hp recovery discs.please help me.

Reset your Windows password with password reset disk

If you forget your password, you can reset it using a password reset disk for your user account (or the password reset information stored on a USB flash drive). If you don't have a password reset disk, you'll need to get someone with an administrator account on the computer to reset your password for you.

1. If you enter the wrong password when you attempt to log on, Windows displays a message that the password is incorrect. Click OK to close the message.

2. Click Reset password, and then insert your password reset disk or USB flash drive.

3. Follow the steps in the Password Reset wizard to create a new password.

4. Log on with the new password. If you forget your password again, you can use the same password reset disk. You don't need to make a new one.

I have experienced the same problem with my Hp laptop a few days ago. I reset my forgotten Windows 7 password using Password Recovery Bundle, it's a shareware, not freeware. But I think the program is much easier than many freeware available on the internet... It's worth a try... Good luck!

Do you have created a reset disk before? If so, you can change windows password with this reset disk easily.

Or,you can think about the Windows Password Reset, it is very usefull and convenient.
