hard disc partition

hey frndz i had a problm with partition of my lapi's hard disk. I'm unable to creat more than 3 disk partitions . While creating partition there shows fourth partition i.e.system root directory of some 30 MB . and only 3 partitions are forming .
Plz suggest me solution
