Hi all,
I'm trying to setup an external USB device (audio interface) on my HP Pavilion DV8 1250ea. The device driver fails to install properly and fails to detect that the device is connected (although I get the ding-dong sound and it appears in device manager, but with an exclamation mark).
I consulted the support of the device manufacturer and they adviced me that the problem is likely to be caused by my system not supporting USB2. They also told me how can we check for this hypotheses - I looked at device manager and they told me I should see something like:

However mine is:

See, no USB2!
I just checked the support section and installed chipset udates and other stuff that sounded relevant - still no change. Is my system really not supporting USB2 - it's clear stated in the specs that the model does support it. Still, this seems to be the most likely reason why my audio interface is not working.
Thanks a lot!
