hp envy 15 : Enquiry before buy

Hi,

I am living in Bangalore. I am planning to get hp envy 15 which is recently launched. When i was enquiring about the price in one of the authorised Hp dealers, he said hp envy 15 cant be upgraded to IPS Radiance display (1080p,1920 x 1080) in India. Is it true? I really picked up this Envy series among the other laptops in market because i heard some good comments about its display. Would be better if you can tell me how i can configure my own Envy 15 rather than blindly accepting what they give.

Thanks for your intrest in our Envy Products. Have you explored www.hp.com yet. It allows you to configure the unit to what ever specifications the unit has to offer.

I am from India. And i need to configure and buy my unit here. This is my product page. And, i cant find the way to buy it in HP shop.

The only option I can think of is to somehow purchase it in the U.S.A. and then have it shipped to you from the U.S to India.

Bad idea. When user will have any problem then he will need to send this notebook to the USA because India support will tell him that this product was bought there.

Yes.. i dont want to ship to US again if i meet up with some problem in my notebook. Any more suggestion to buy HP envy 15 in India ??

I am really unhappy with HP for not allowing the consumers to configure their own notebook in India where Dell is giving here.  Why cant HP ??
