Can you post the exact Model number of your notebook?

I wasn't the original poster of the question, but I need the same info - I have a mal-functioning fan that I need to replace.  Can you tell me how to do it?

 

I have an HP Pavillion DV7 notebook, not sure what other info you need.

Here is a walk-through including pictures that willl tell you how to take apart the DV-7 Series of laptops from HP.  Hope this helps.!
