hpdv2000 battery will not charge

Old battery would not charge fully, bought new battery, only to find that the new battery would NOT charge either.

 

Checked power cord, it's working and supplying power to laptop.  Laptop operates normally while using power cord.

 

Blue indicators ON... showing power plugged in AND battery charged.

 

Removed power cord, machine shuts down immediately, no power at all from the battery even though the meter shows 27%.  Stuck at 27%... sometimes say charged, sometimes charging.  Doesn't show reduced or increaced charge no matter how long power is plugged in.

 

HP Battery test inconclusive.  It didn't seem to be able to find the battery, it just kept showing Battery being tested, please wait... even after 15 + minutes.

 

What NOW???  Really need battery power so that I don't have to be tied down to electrical outlet.

As you pretty much tried everything I guess its a Battery Controller issue

Can I trouble shoot the Battery Controller ???

Is it a part I can change???

Its Battery charging circuit which has gone bad and its not something which you can troubleshoot. Could you please post complete product/model number of your Notebook so that I can check and let you know more about this.
