super noob question get ready...
you ready?
ok here it goes...
i just got my new laptop i ordered a dv7t quad edition i was looking around and checked out the system info it says "HP Pavillion dv7 Notebook PC" is this the same as a dv7t quad edition or did hp send me the wrong laptop?
also i odered it with 660GB 7200 rpm Dual Drive (160GB SSD/500GB 7200 rpm) with HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection but when i checked my hardrive space it says ssd capacity is 123 gb and hdd is 465 gb and shows how much space is being used on each but shouldnt it say ssd 160 gb and hdd 500 gb. wheres the other 81 gbs?
im prob wrong but i have to make sure i got what i payed for

Hi:
You can check what model PC you have by entering the product number in the box at the link below.
The product number can be found on the same sticker as the serial number.
The disk size difference between advertised size and actual storage space is explained at the link below.
Totally normal.

thanks bro really helped me out its the right laptop
1 more question the battery is only lasting about 1 1/12 hrs is this normal? i havent done anything like gaming yet most ive done is go on youtube email facebook
i charge it to %100 and watch some vids on youtube go on fb listen to music and its dead in 1 1/2 hr

You're very welcome.
I don't have your model PC, but I can say from my own experience that none of my notebook PC batteries last more than 1.5 hours between charges and all I do is browse the internet or check e-mail with them.
They definitely don't last as long as they advertise, that's for sure.
