Re: laptop problem

First make sure you don't have any flashdrives or such in any of the USB ports.

In this forum, clicking on Kudos is a great way of saying thanks.  :smileywink:

Re: laptop problem

after checking the USB drive suggestion please see if you can boot into the BIOS, if you can does it show you have a Hard-drive?

Do you have a diagnostic tab in the BIOS if so and there is a hard-drive test, run it.

BTW what is the Product number from the bottom of your notebook?

Re: laptop problem

I have the same problem. I just bought the Probook 4710s 5 days ago, and some times when I try to start the computer, it just wrights on the screen Non system disk foun, please replace and press any key... I don't have any CD or DVD in CD/DVD unit or any USB keys... when I try to scan the hard disk it reports to me No hard disk found. Every now and than it starts Windows normaly, but it keeps repeating frequently not beeing able to start my comp.

Does it mean that the hard disk is bad or broken...or what?!? Should I return the laptop and ask for replacement?

HELP!

Re: laptop problem

Since the problem is intermittent it is possible your Hard-drive has a bad connection, I would contact support or the place of purchase.
