recently I started receiving an annoying error message saying "unable to load DLL 'hppatusg01.dll'...." which pops up continuously every few minutes.. I can continue past the message without any problems but I have no idea what is causing this or how to get rid of it...
i\m running 32 bit Windows7 on an HP touchsmart 1070ca... any advice/suggestions would be welcomed...

I think it is part of an infection on your PC.
Install MBAM, use the Update tab in the program to update it, then run a quick scan, select and remove anything it finds at the end of the scan

I would suggest using the Start Up tab in MSConfig (Start/Run/MSConfig) to stop any file that looks something like hppatusg01.dll or hpusg.* Those files seem to be used for HP Usage Tracking on an HP printer. While it may be helpful to HP, it is not necessary. Save the configuration changes and reboot your system.

I´m using HP laserjet P1006, having the same problem, to resolve it I uninstall the printer and reinstall it using:hp_LI- P1005_p1505_full_solution _ROW from the HP home. It works for me.
