mouse "tap" not working

Hi all,

I've just bought a DV7 3111ea (second hand) and I cannot get the tap on the mouse to work. The left and right buttons work fine, as does the page scroll function.

The newest software is installed, and I have also tried using a previous software version.

Any ideas on how to sort this would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Go to control panel and select Icon view (large or small). Find Mouse and in the heading bar to the far right should be "Device Settings"  In that Window you should see Synaptics touch Pad Enabled. (enable it id it's disabled)

Click on "settings"  Look in the left pane and find "Tapping" click on the word "tapping, but not the small + sign next to it.

Ounce you click tapping a new window will appear where you can check the box for tapping and then click apply.
