my dvd drives must be ejected and inserted several times before they spin up and read properly

HP dv7-1264nr laptop, Windows Vista, BD ROM Drive (E: )

 

We must insert and eject the dvd or cds, several times before the drive will read them. This is happening on two dv7s and one dv6 Entertainment Laptop, all three.

 

The dv6 did this straight out of the new box, while the other dv7s started within first three months of ownweship.

 

Can any one help us, with why this is happening to all our HPs?

Anything at all? If it is cleaning only, why would the dv6 need cleaned, fresh out of the box? Is it some kind of driver issue?.....anyone? help?

I still have this issue. I cleaned my drives and still have it.

 

Oh wait, I found the answer! - Laptops are so compact, that you build them out of junk?
