my laptop will not start, have used HP Advanced System Diagnostic s

My laptop oneday just stop working, I tried self diagnotic and it did not help. Below are the information I have from my Utility Diagnostic System
Notebook model - HP G56 Notebook PC

I used HP Advanced System Diagnostics, it tested
Start-Up Test - failed
Run-in Test - failed
System Tuneup - failed
Hard Disk Test - failed
Memory Test - passed
ALL SHOWED FAILURE ID 9CRGXS-5BC634-SC002K-60US3

You have a failed hard drive. The hard drive will need to be replaced and then you'll need to reinstall the operating system (Recover the OS with Recovery Media).
Do you know if you're still in warranty or not?

thank you for your input regarding the hard drive, I purchased the computer back in 12/30/10 and it means no more warranty. Once I purchased the HD can I use the repair disk I created from the first time I purchased the laptop?
