pavilion dv7-6b32us left side usb 3.0 not communicating after installing windows 7 pro.

Hi! I recently 'wiped' my hard drive and installed Windows 7 Professional OEM. I got everything working fine except the two LEFT SIDE USB (3.0) ports. They DO have power (since I can charge my iPod in either one of them), but they wont 'recognize', or communicate with, anything that's plugged into them. Can't find a fix or a driver for this scenario. Did I miss something? Thanks!

Hi,

Download and install driver for Fresco Logic USB 3.0 Host Controller Driver from here.

Restart system and check the results.

Hi Daniel,

  Thanks for the post, unfortunately this driver did not work. It ended during install with a "Fresco Logic Contoller Not Found!" dialog. I had previously installed the Fresco driver (dated Oct 2011) without incident, and also without success. So, I'm still at a loss here. What am I missing?

Well well well.... big dummy me. The driver I  needed was here:

It's the NEC driver and it's ON THE SAME PAGE that I looked at 37 times!! Hahahaha. Oh well, I feel stupid, but it's fixed. Again, thank you Daniel for trying to help!

I have the same problem except I've no idea why they quit. Maybe a Windows update?  I've reinstalled my AMD Graphics Driver which I understood would reinstall the USB 3.0 drivers, no fix. I've installed sp54479.exe, sp53619.exe, and sp54508.exe which, based on what I read, was supposed to fix this. None of these have been successful. Still no USB 3.0 ports operational on the left side of the computer. Any other ideas?
