Approximately 2 months ago I bought an HP Pavilion dv7. The letter on the keyboard is starting to wear off.
I have never had a problem with the keys wearing off on a keyboard. The keys function properly.
I am having difficulty communicating with the HP support staff in India. They are unable to transfer the call to a service rep in the US
what are my options? What is a good HP number to reach a service rep in the US?

My notebook more like mini notebook is the same. It will not do any good to send it in to themfor replacement . My lettering wore off the keyboard about when you wrote the post and they had me send it in and replaced the keyboard. Guess what, now that I am out of warranty by a couple of months the lettering is wearing off again. Its junk. At 64 years old I have never had the lettering wear off of any keyboard in the last 25 years. Work computers thats I was on for years at 8 hours a day and now this piece of garbage. Takes about 6 months for the lettering to wear off. Oh well, cheap garbage is cheap garbage. Cheap now is 5-7 hundred dollars. What a shame.

I have the same problem on a dv7. Completely asinine. I will probably never purchase HP again, their design and QA standards have apparently fallen to epic new lows. My last Pavilion lasted 8 years and the keyboard still looks brand new. They just don't make anything like they used to - cheaper cheaper cheaper is the new moto, not better better better,
