yesterday while having a survey on my bios i mistakely set the power on password and administrative password . i am now knowing the password but want to remove it as it is very annoying to give the password every time i open my laptop. please can someone help me to remove the password please tell the procedure.

Please provide the model number and product number of your notebook so that we can share the password disabling steps accordingly.

i am having the same problem i want the power on password removed everytime i turn on the computer. i know the password. how do i stop it from coming on everytime. i have a hp 2000 notebook

You can try the steps mentioned in section "Use the power-on password" in the following weblink:

If this does not work, for detailed steps, please provide the complete model number or product number of your system. This information is located beneath the notebook.

dont see anything in there about removing it? only setting one? my model number is c39y7-f4vbb-29gh4-wbwwm-f92qb i think or 584037-001

Welcome CDroberts.
After three failed passwords do you receive a halt code???
Post that code.
Hp 2000's have INSYDE H20 BIOS.
If you enter the master password at the first screen it removes any password.
The next time you power-on it should not ask for a password again.
Just tested it on a HP 2000.
