resetting laptop to original computer settings.

I have a HP G61 Laptop and i was wondering how do i reset it to the original operating condition? i dont need to go through the recovery disks. i just want to get my computer to the point where nothing is on it except what supposed to be on there. Like when first getting the laptop from the store and you open it to install everything and set everything up. thanks

Re: resetting laptop to original computer settings.

Hi,

The only way to do this is to either use your Recovery Discs to reinstall the operating system or to access Recovery Manager and use this to reinstall the OS - these are the only ways to return your notebook to the condition it was in when purchased.

Recovery Manager can be accessed from the All Programs list in Windows, or by tapping away at f11 as you start the notebook.

Regards,
