scrolling option...how do i turn it OFF?

I have a pavillion laptop, with the scrolling option on the mouse pad.  I want to turn that scrolling option OFF.  HOW?  I have gone to control panel and found "mouse" and then to "wheel", but the only 2 choices I have are how many lines I want to scroll or scroll only 1 line.  That is not what I am looking for...I simply want to turn the scrolling option OFF!!  HELP!

thanks! :-)

Re: scrolling option...how do i turn it OFF?

Hi

I have a Pavilion DV5 which has synaptics pointing device.

I'll tell you how to do it on synaptics pointing device.

Open Control panel ----->  open mouse -----> click on device settings tab-----> click settings  ------->click virtual scrolling.

Then uncheck vertical scrolling or horizontal scrolling which ever you dont want.

I hope this helps you.
