transparency

I was reading an article on transparency the other day is was geared towards Microsoft.

It would be nice if HP was more transparent up front with its products.

I bought a HP mini 1000 last year just for web development use. I do not need the internet for the machine or wireless.

The machine is capable of connecting to a LAN with a RJ 45 cable.

Yet while digging around in Microsoft`s OS there is a continuous never ending push towards setting up a wireless internet connection.

It sucks.

There is hidden in this mess of HP hardware and Microsoft OS a way to set up a Wired connection to an existing router.

And why is that not available , clearly !.

Because the herd is running that way, does not mean monkey see monkey do, yet it does for the Computer Industry.

It would be nice, it just would be, if HP and their sales team could put some effort into negotiating with Microsoft and make the information for a wired network available while the herd is running that way, or whatever way the market herd is running.

Thank you

Re: transparency

There's nothing special needed to create a wired network.  All you do is plug the ethernet cable into the RJ-45 jack on the notebook and the other end into an available port of your router or modem.
