unable to boot from dvd-wr

Dear Sir,

 

I have 3 laptop model compaq presario CQ - 40 144TU which i purchased in January 2009.

whenever i want to boot from a bootable disk. it only shows message "press any key to boot from cd.." and after pressing the key, the screen gets blank.

it doesn't show any setup process...

i have already contacted to Maha Electronics Pvt. Ltd. HP Service Center, Somajiguda, Hyderabad. They were unable to fix the problem.

Instead  of fixing the problem they replaced the Hardware i.e. DVD-WR.

Still i m unable to boot from the Bootable Disk... i have checked all possible options but could not find suitable solution.

kindly suggest me what should i do to solve my problem?
