Hello,
The only solution I know of for this is to reset the printer, as described in this document:
Please reply to let me know if this works.
Regards,
Eric

I too just changed printer cartridges and am getting error message Oxc18a0007, Ink System Failure.
I have HP Photosmart C7250 All-in-One printer. I purchased all new ink cartridges from HP online shopping, specific for my machine. It was not cheap. I replaced the old with the new, and suddenly my printer quits working and I get this error message.
I have tried several times removing and reinstalling the new ink cartridges. Checked to make sure they were seated securely.
I have followed the troubleshooting instructions @ http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docnam
I have tried resetting the printer multiple times.
None of the above helped.
Next, I tried following directions for using the automatic printing cleaning utility, and received message that the carriage was stalled. I clicked on pop up to "get help- and was taken to instructions for "printhead assembly being blocked". I followed the instructions but they really were not helpful so, I went here for help: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docnam
This was a great video but it didn't solve my issue.
I then tried taking out all the ink cartidges and reinstalling them in the order recommended here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docnam
No help. Tried cleaning & aligning printheads again to no avail.
Still getting 0xc18a0007 Ink System Failure. I have spent hours trying to fix this issue. I am frustrated and doubt I ever buy HP printer again.
I did see good video on youtube that might be helpful: how to fix HP printer with a golf club. LOL. Just kidding. Somebody HELP ME PLEASE? Before I lose my mind.

Could you let me know what cartridges (color) you changed when the error showed up?
